Bowen & Pomeroy Pty Ltd (trading as Bowens Timber & Building Supplies) is a family owned company started in 1894 by Richard Bowen, specialising in the supply of timber and building supplies to the Victorian building trade and do-it-yourself retail market. Bowens is a dominant player in the Victorian building market with ten branches centred on metropolitan Melbourne, Mornington Peninsula and with two regional stores in Shepparton & Phillip Island.
Our company has more than 30 external sales representatives calling directly on Melbourne's builders - helping with the smallest renovation to the largest residential and commercial building projects. This experienced sales team is backed-up at branch level by a team of service orientated people equally dedicated to helping Victorians build.
Bowens also has one of the largest fleets of delivery vehicles with experienced drivers who can help our clients with deliveries of timber and building supplies right onto their building site in the most economical manner possible.
To suit today's building requirements an increasingly important part of our service to the industry includes the manufacture and supply of prefabricated wall frames and roof trusses and Bowens has two prefabrication plants, on 10 acres at Hastings and 4 acres in Dandenong. Bowens is a licensed Gang-Nail fabricator using the latest technology available and we've grown to be one of the largest building pre-fabrication operators in Victoria.
