Awards Season at HIA – Best of the Best Celebrated

Awards season has just concluded for HIA members in Victoria! Over the past few weeks, we’ve been travelling across the state presenting the 2022 HIA Regional Victoria Housing Awards.

We also recently held the HIA-CSR Victorian Housing and Kitchen & Bathroom Awards. Melbourne-based BCG Constructions have been announced as the winners of the prestigious 2022 HIA-CSR Victorian Home of the Year award, for an absolutely stunning custom built home in Toorak.

This award was one of 78 presented on the night, which we were delighted to be able to present in person at Crown Palladium. The awards are a showcase of the best of the best in the residential building industry, and of the absolutely outstanding quality of work done by HIA members. HIA congratulates all of the winners and finalists.

We were also recently delighted to shine a light on the future of our industry. HIA has announced the winners of the 2022 HIA-Stratco Victorian Apprentice Awards.

Reed McLean, a cabinet making apprentice with Melbourne-based H&H Cabinets, has won the 2022 HIA Alec Fuller Victorian Apprentice of the Year award.

HIA’s judges recognised Reed for his attention to details, his outstanding attitude, his passion for learning, and his enthusiasm for aiding and training others.

Reed is an exceptional and dedicated apprentice. He has proven his commitment to both learning and doing work of the highest quality. There is no doubt he has a very bright future in our industry.

HIA was also pleased to recognise and congratulate all of the category awards winners on the night including:

The HIA-Stratco Victorian Apprentice Awards are a showcase of the absolutely excellent quality of work done by HIA members and apprentices. With outstanding apprentices like the ones recognised at these awards, the future of the residential building industry is in very good hands.
