Bowens offers pre-coated decking, cladding and large-section timbers from our Distribution centre. This service makes ordering pre-coated timbers quicker, easier and at a reduced cost.

Why pre-coat your timber?

The benefits of pre-coating your timber.

• Protection on all 4 sides for added durability
• Minimises moisture absorption much more effectively than single-surface coating
• Improves the dimensional stability and service life of the timber
• Less on-site coating reduces labour costs and speeds up project completion
• Your timber is less impacted by weather delays

We use Intergrain Industrial Oil which is specifically designed for use in pre-coating machines. This new formulation is a first of its kind, allowing you to choose either a water-based or oil-based top coat from the Intergrain and Cabots Decking Oils Range.

Please note that pre-coated timber products are a primer coat and still require a top coat to be applied once the timber is installed.
